An audio-visual museum open to the public hosted by the British Film Institute on
London's South Bank. Visitors to the Mediatheque are able to use interactive television screens to watch episodes of British series the BFI has in its archives.
It is described by the BFI itself as "BFI Southbank’s free digital viewing space" and has over 95,000 titles available to view. Visitors sit in a booth and select their choice of title via a touchscreen. There is no charge for entry.
Several episodes of
Knightmare are available to view, often from the original broadcast on
CiTV. These span many years of Knightmare's history; some episodes also include the CiTV wraparound host sections in addition to the episode itself.
On the right is a clip from
Team 6 of Series 7 showing Julie in the
Descender. The red wall around the screen shows the interior of a booth in the Mediatheque.
Episodes available to view include the first ever from
Series 1 and one from each subsequent series. There are no successive episodes, however, meaning that some quests are only partially shown.
